The Sustainable Algae Photobioreactor Project Group is one of the various projects developed through Engineers for a Sustainable World (ESW) at the University of California, Berkeley. Our project will be using polycarbonate tubing, solar panels, stainless steel, air pumps, and several other materials in order to construct a system that will grow microalgae biomass that can then be harvested by our team, processed to extract lipids, and then ultimately converted to a workable biofuel. Lastly, this project strives to promote renewable and clean energy systems to the university body for a sustainable future.
